God is the one eternal Creator: holy, just, loving, merciful, all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfectly faithful. The Living God Who Makes Himself Known
God cannot be reduced to a force, a useful idea, or a larger version of us. He is the living Lord who speaks, creates, loves, judges, rescues, and invites people to know Him.
The Creator, Not A Creature
Before mountains, stars, angels, or human beings existed, God was. He names Himself “I AM,” the One whose life depends on no one else (). Scripture therefore begins with God, not with an argument for His arrival: “In the beginning, God created” ().

Holy Love Without A Shadow
God's holiness means He is utterly pure, set apart from evil, and glorious beyond comparison. Isaiah saw heavenly beings cover their faces and cry, “Holy, holy, holy” (). His justice is holiness applied to right and wrong: He never calls evil good, never takes a bribe, and never twists a verdict ().
The same God is love (). Biblical love is not permission to destroy what is good; it seeks another's true good at real cost. At the cross, God's holy justice and saving love meet. Sin is not waved away. The Son bears judgment so guilty people can be forgiven without God ceasing to be righteous ().
God also describes Himself as merciful, gracious, patient, and overflowing in steadfast love, while refusing to treat guilt as innocence (). These qualities do not compete. His patience is just patience, His judgment is holy judgment, and His mercy is faithful mercy.
One God, Three Persons
Scripture insists there is one God (). It also identifies the Father as God, the Son as God, and the Holy Spirit as God, while showing that the Father, Son, and Spirit speak to and love one another. At Jesus' baptism, the Son stands in the water, the Spirit descends, and the Father's voice speaks from heaven (). “Trinity” is the compact name Christians use for all these biblical facts. God is one in being and three in person. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father. Yet each is fully and eternally God, not one-third of God.

Look At Jesus
God's character becomes visible in Jesus. The eternal Son took on a real human nature without ceasing to be God (; ). Watch Jesus welcome children, confront hypocrisy, touch the unclean, command storms, forgive sins, weep at a tomb, lay down His life, and rise again. This is not a kinder messenger correcting an unkind deity. The Son perfectly reveals the Father because He shares the Father's divine nature and carries out the Father's saving will ().
Knowing what God is like changes ordinary life. His wisdom means His commands are not traps. His faithfulness means promises do not expire when feelings collapse. Questions
Can We Understand An Infinite God?
Yes, truly but never exhaustively. A cup cannot hold the ocean, but it can hold real ocean water. In the same way, created minds cannot master the infinite God, yet we can know what He has truthfully revealed. Jesus says eternal life is knowing the Father and the Son (). Is Love God's Most Important Attribute?

If “love” is detached from holiness and truth, it becomes a human preference wearing God's name. What Should Knowing God Produce?
