Who Is Jesus?
Jesus is the eternal Son of God who became truly human, fulfilled God's promises, died for sinners, rose bodily, and reigns as Lord.

He took a true human nature without ceasing to be God, lived without sin, gave His life as the ransom for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, and reigns at the Father's right hand. Meet The Messiah, Son, And Lord
Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” The Bible gives one coherent answer through His names, works, cross, and Resurrection.
God's Promised Messiah
Christ is a title, not Jesus' surname. It means “Anointed One,” the Greek equivalent of Messiah. God promised a descendant of Abraham who would bless the nations, a Son of David whose kingdom would endure, and a suffering Servant who would bear sin. Jesus fulfills those promises in His birth, ministry, death, Resurrection, and everlasting reign.
Peter's confession in joins two truths that belong together: Jesus is “the Christ” and “the Son of the living God.” Messianic Prophecy traces that promised identity across Scripture.
God The Son Became Man
John identifies Jesus as the eternal Word who was with God, was God, created all things, and became flesh in . He did not turn into a human or surrender His deity. The Son added a complete human nature, so the one Lord Jesus is truly God and truly man.
That truth explains the authority running through the Gospels. Jesus forgives sins, commands creation, receives worship, gives eternal life, and will judge the world. Savior, Risen King, And Lord
Jesus came to save His people from their sins. At the cross He bore the judgment His people deserved; in the Resurrection He defeated death; in the Ascension He took His royal seat; and at His return He will complete His kingdom in justice and glory.
The titles in Jesus' Names And Offices are therefore not decorative. Prophet, Priest, King, Lamb, Shepherd, Savior, and Lord tell us who He is and what He does. The right response is not distant admiration but repentance, faith, worship, and obedience.

Questions
Was Jesus Only A Teacher?
No. Jesus taught as no ordinary rabbi: He forgave sins, claimed authority over the Sabbath, called Himself the giver of resurrection life, received worship, and said that everyone's final destiny turns on their response to Him. His Resurrection vindicated those claims. A teacher is part of His office, but “Lord and God” is His identity.
Was His Story Borrowed?
No. Jesus Is Not A Pagan Myth compares that claim with the dated texts and actual myths. The Gospel is rooted in Jewish Scripture, named rulers and locations, public crucifixion, an empty tomb, and eyewitness proclamation. The proposed pagan parallels are late, assembled from unrelated stories, or materially unlike Jesus.
Why Does His Identity Matter?
Because only the God-man can reveal the Father perfectly, obey in humanity's place, offer a sufficient sacrifice for sin, conquer death, and bring His people to God. If Jesus were merely human, the Gospel would collapse. Because He is the risen Son, His promise of forgiveness and eternal life is completely trustworthy.
What Should I Do?
Repent and believe the Gospel. Bring your sin to Jesus, trust His finished work instead of your record, confess Him as Lord, and follow His Word. says the signs were written so that you may believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and have life in His name.
