Temporary Mercy, True Mercy

Lazarus returned from the tomb but later died again. People fed in the wilderness became hungry again. That temporary character does not make the gifts less real; it shows that the first coming offered previews while Jesus moved toward the decisive work of cross and Resurrection.

God can heal now, often through ordinary means and sometimes through extraordinary providence. Yet Scripture does not promise that every faithful person will avoid disease or death before Christ returns.

Your Body Matters To God

Jesus does not save souls from creation as though bodies were disposable. He touches bodies, restores senses and movement, feeds hunger, and rises bodily. Christian hope is therefore resurrection, not escape into permanent disembodiment.

The believer's present body may weaken, but Christ will raise it imperishable and conform it to His glorious body. The healings are small windows into that promised wholeness.

Unanswered prayer for healing can be painful, but it does not mean Jesus lacks compassion or authority. The cross shows His compassion entering suffering; the Resurrection shows its appointed end. He may remove an affliction, sustain His child through it, and use weakness for holy purposes, but He will finally remove every trace of the curse.

Yes. Ask boldly because Jesus is compassionate and powerful, use wise medical care as God's provision, invite the Church to pray, and submit the outcome to the Father's wisdom. Faith trusts God Himself, not a demanded timetable.

How Should I Treat Suffering People?

With Jesus' compassion, truth, presence, and practical help. Do not blame every illness on personal sin or offer slogans where lament is needed. Pray, listen, serve, and point gently to the certain hope of Resurrection. The miracle stories train Christ's people to value the whole person.
